Chito S. Roño's 'Signal Rock' is the Philippines' entry for Best Foreign Language Film at next year's Academy Awards or Oscars, producer Ferdy Lapuz announced in a Facebook post.

The selection process of the winning entry was decided by the Film Academy of the Philippines.

Lapuz noted that the film was also invited to join four international film festivals, shortly after winning the Critic's Choice and Special Jury Awards in last August's Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

  1. This film’s strongest point is its acting. It’s realistic and grounded. Even the day players’ acting is impressive. This is something mainstream films should take note of.

Intoy wears his heart on his sleeves. You can feel the emotions on his face.
