TBA President Ting Nebrida noted that any film can be played on this branch, given the variety of projection systems available. He also explained why they chose Anonas out of all places in Metro Manila.

“After the success of our first branch [San Juan], we think na mas maganda kung mas malapit-lapit sa mga millennials. So we felt na mas malapit ‘to sa UP, Ateneo, Miriam, WCC. It would be a nice area,” Nebrida said.

Cinema ‘76 Anonas is operating from 12nn to 12mn. During its grand launch, a screening of the restored version of Eddie Romero’s ‘Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon’ was held, commemorating its original 1976 release date. 1976 is dubbed as the golden year of Philippine cinema, where the microcinema took its name from.
