TBA Studios goes global for “Dito at Doon”, unveils upcoming projects

Dito at Doon (Here and There), TBA Studios’ first film production during the pandemic, is now aiming to reach more audiences as it expands with screenings outside the Philippines.

The studio’s recently launched premium on-demand platform TBA Play has made the JP Habac romance-drama available in over 60 countries, including the USA, Canada, Europe, Middle East, and North Africa. TBA Play is currently screening other TBA Studios films including Kung Paano Siya Nawala (How She Left Me), Write About Love, and Tayo Sa Huling Buwan Ng Taon (Us at The End of the Year) and soon, acclaimed Filipino titles such as Grace Simbulan’s A Is For Agustin, Jerrold Tarog’s Angelito, and Benito Bautista’s Boundary!

“I really hope that now we are streaming globally, a lot of our kababayans abroad will get to watch Dito at Doon. We really want a sequel, but still, that would depend on the reception for this movie,” said the film’s actress Janine Gutierrez.

Dito at Doon tells the story of two strangers (Gutierrez and JC Santos) who met and connect virtually in the time of the pandemic. Dito at Doon can alternatively be seen by viewers in the Philippines via KTX, Cinema ’76 @Home, iWantTFC, Ticket2Me, and Upstream.

Aside from the TBA Play announcement, TBA Studios also revealed their upcoming projects in the pipeline that is expected to come out soon.

In a sizzle reel shown at an online media event, the studio is already gearing up on Quezon, the follow-up to Jerrold Tarog’s Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral about the life of former President Manuel L. Quezon, and finally screening the Robert de Niro and Morgan Freeman-starrer The Comeback Trail.

TBA Studios also officially announces the extension of its Cinema ’76 brand with the online platform Cinema ’76 at Home and Cinema ’76 Café. Details will be announced on TBA Studios' official Facebook page.
