Marvel released the first trailer for 'Black Panther', the studio's first film offering in 2018.
The trailer, which premiered during the NBA Finals 2017 game broadcast, showed our first extensive look on the fictional land of Wakanda. Its king, T'Challa, finds himself challenged "for the throne from factions within his own country."
When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.'Black Panther' will serve as the titular character's first solo feature, and the first of three film offerings from Marvel Studios next year. It will arrive before 'Avengers: Infinity War' in May, and 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' in July.
Chadwick Boseman reprises his role as T'Challa, which had his debut appearance in 'Captain America: Civil War'. Andy Serkis' Ulysses Klaue and Martin Freeman's Everett Ross will also be in the film, after having their brief introductions in previous entries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Joining Boseman, Serkis, and Freeman is a powerhouse cast that includes Lupita Nyong'o, Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Forest Whitaker, Sterling K. Brown, Danai Gurira, and Angela Bassett. 'Fruitvale Station' and 'Creed's Ryan Coogler directs the film.
'Black Panther' opens in Philippine cinemas this February 2018.
