Ken Russell's "The Devils" returns to cinemas with new 4K restoration

Ken Russell's seminal 1971 film "The Devils" is returning to New Zealand cinemas on October 29 with a new 4K restoration.

The re-release will feature the notorious director's cut that Russell privately constructed in 2004. It is referenced as the definitive version of this masterpiece, and the uncut and unfiltered theatrical experience that Russell always envisioned. Starring Academy Award-winner Vanessa Redgrave and Oliver Reed, "The Devils" explores the true, terrifying story of a 17th-century mass possession and witch hunt in Loudun, France.
