Puregold CinePanalo 2026: Your Guide to the films, tickets and cinemas

The Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival is back for its third year, and it is the biggest yet. From 23 September to 4 October 2026, seven full-length films and nineteen student shorts will take over select cinemas across Metro Manila.

This is your guide to this year's Puregold CinePanalo, including details about the participating films, ticket prices, and where to watch. 

The seven full-length features

Apol of My Ai

Directed by Thop Nazareno. Starring Zanjoe Marudo, Zion Cruz and Rochelle Pangilinan.

A coming-of-age story about a boy who thinks he is already a young man. Falling for his choir teacher tests that confidence, and a decision by his father Poli pushes the two apart. Music might be the way back.

Beast

Directed by Lawrence Fajardo. Starring John Arcilla, with Candy Pangilinan, Karl Medina, Ruslan Jacob and Dax Alejandro.

After a landlord forces one last harvest, a farmer and his loyal carabao set off on a magical road trip to Manila, chasing the memory of a niece the years took from him.

Mono No Aware

Directed by BC Amparado. Starring Juan Karlos Labajo and Perry Dizon.

In Japan, a Filipino who cleans the homes of people who die alone meets an elderly widower with one final favour to ask. A quiet drama about grief, family and impermanence.

Multwoh (Patay na Patay Sa'yo)

Directed by Rodina Singh. Starring Sassa Gurl and Joao Constancia, with Phi Palmos, Gaia Poly and Inah Evans.

A queer college student dies suddenly in their dorm and returns as a ghost, not for revenge but to finally say "I love you." Haunting, hilarious and tender.

Patay Gutom (Dead Hungry)

Directed by Carl Joseph Papa and Ian Pangilinan. Starring Khalil Ramos, Ian Pangilinan, Agot Isidro, Cris Villanueva and Alwyn Uytingco.

A grumpy shut in eats an offering meant for a lonely ghost and wakes up with his third eye open. Bound together, the two uncover family secrets and a love that blurs the line between life and the afterlife.

Stuck on You

Directed by Mikko Baldoza. Starring Xyriel Manabat and River Joseph.

A romantic comedy with a deadly twist. A heartbroken manicurist accidentally takes on a hitman's job and lands in a conspiracy, forced to choose between protecting her family and killing the man she is falling for.

Wantawsan

Directed by Joseph Abello. Starring Joross Gamboa, Rita Daniela and Zion Cruz.

A cash strapped father receives money from the newly elected mayor he backed. On his son's birthday he goes out to buy food and ends up in a comic adventure that tests his wits and values.

Nineteen student filmmakers from across the Philippines will participate in this year's festival. The student shorts category will be presented in four sets.

Puregold CinePanalo ticket prices and festival pass

Regular tickets are ₱250. Discounted tickets are ₱200 for PWDs, senior citizens, students, national athletes and Aling Puring and Perks cardholders. A ₱2,000 festival pass covers the full length films and student shorts. A festival pass will go on sale at Gateway Cineplex 18 from 22 September, and at every other participating cinema from 23 September.

Where to watch

The festival hub is Gateway Cineplex 18 in Araneta City, Cubao. Screenings also run at Trinoma, Fairview Terraces, Ayala Malls Feliz, Ayala Malls Circuit, Ayala Malls Manila Bay and Market! Market!, the widest cinema reach the festival has had. Panorama Shorts are listed for exclusive screenings at Gateway Cineplex 18.
