HOYTS to bring first SCREENX to New Zealand at Sylvia Park this year

HOYTS is expanding its SCREENX offering to New Zealand, as the cinema chain announced it will be bringing the 270-degree panoramic movie experience to Sylvia Park before the end of the year.

This marks HOYTS' first SCREENX location in the country, as part of its recent rollout of new theatres in both Australia (Wetherill Park and Green Hills) and New Zealand. The expansion follows the enthusiastic launch of SCREENX at HOYTS Broadway, in addition to the format's ongoing success at HOYTS Blacktown and HOYTS Melbourne Central. The new screens will give more moviegoers the opportunity to experience next-level cinematic immersion, with visuals extending beyond the main screen and across the auditorium's side walls.

HOYTS Group CEO and President Damian Keogh said the continued expansion of SCREENX across the HOYTS circuit reflects the strong response from guests and the company's ongoing investment in innovative big-screen experiences.

CJ 4DPLEX CEO Jun Bang said that bringing SCREENX to New Zealand with HOYTS for the first time is a meaningful moment for the company.
