Steve Jobs Biopic is in the Works

Oct 16, 2011
A week ago, we reported that former CEO Steve Jobs passed away at age 56, after a long battle with cancer. Today, Sony Pictures reported that the Oscar-winning The Social Network's studio, Sony Pictures is planning a biopic about Steven Jobs, based on a forthcoming authorised biography of the late co-founder of Apple.

Sony Pictures has made a magnanimous offer for the rushed-to-press authorised biography by Walter Isaacson, originally due to come out in 2012 and then at the end of November, but now being hurried along to later this month to ensure it captures the current interest in the billionaire fondleslab baron, who died last week/

It is also reported that Speed, 2012 and Source Code producer, Mark Gordon, is said to be in line to produce the film. The only film to feature Jobs thus far is Pirates of Silicon Valley, a made for TV movie based on the book  Fire in the Valley: The Making of the Personal Computer by Paul Freiberger and Michael Swaine; it was shot in 1999 and starred Ocean's Trilogy's Noah Wyle as Jobs and Anthony Michael Hall as Bill Gates.

Sony Picture's Steve Jobs Biopic will be in cinemas soon.
