Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto films part of MMFF 2017 line-up

Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto’s next films ‘The Revengers’ and ‘Love Traps #Family Goals’ are selected to compete in the FULL LENGTH FEATURE category of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.


The aforementioned films, along with Coco Martin’s ‘Ang Panday’ and the Jennylyn Mercado-Jericho Rosales sophomore team-up film ‘Almost Is Not Enough,’ are the first four based on the screenplays sent.



Four finished films (to be announced on November 17) will be picked based on the following criteria to complete the remaining four entries: 40% artistic excellence; 40% commercial appeal; 10% promotion of Filipino cultural and historical values & 10% global appeal.


According to MMFF Execute Committee Chairman Tim Orbos, their "selection committee had a difficult time choosing given the quality of films” and has undergone “exhaustive and thorough deliberations."



The Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 is set to have its run this Christmas day.
