Cinemalaya Foundation announced that Erik Matti's upcoming action film 'Buybust' is set to be the opening film for this year's Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival.
The film's screening will be happening on August 3 (7PM) at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) and is open to the public. This will kick-off the festival's run that will end on the 12th.
'Buybust' recently held its world premiere at the New York Asian Film Festival. Its commercial release in the Philippines is on August 1, 2018 in cinemas nationwide from Reality Entertainment and Viva Films.
Anne Curtis topbills the project. She will be joined by Brandon Vera, Victor Neri, Joross Gamboa, and Alex Calleja.
