Top 5: All-Time Favorite Filmmakers

Sep 1, 2012
For this week's episode of Top 5, I will discuss my top 5 favorite filmmakers. Note that this is my personal opinion, not yours. If you got comments or violent reaction for this post, please leave a message below.
5) David Fincher
Ever since The Social Network came out, I started to love Fincher. He has made a couple of good movies including Fight Club, Se7en, Zodiac and the recent The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. What I love about Fincher is the way he made this gritty/ dark suspense thrillers and making it stylish at the same time.

4) Christopher Nolan
Chris Nolan. All of you out there had to put in their favorite director list. Nolan never do a bad movie, but when he do, no one would even care. But who would not put any of his movies on your top movies list.
3) Quentin Tarantino
Quentin Tarantino is the only director I know who has real passion in making movies. He is one master of making dialogues if you haven't seen any of his movies.

2) Paul Thomas Anderson
PT Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson whatever you call it, he's just a brilliant director. Each of his movies are completely different like Boogie Nights, Punch Drunk Love and There Will Be Blood. Still have to wait for The Master to come this year, but this scene above, the movie will for sure win Best Picture for the next Oscars.

1) Stanley Kubrick

Stanley Kubrick tops my list. He directed mostly my favorite movies (A Clockwork Orange, 2001, The Shining, Barry Lyndon) and cleverly knows how to make a shot. You can clearly see in any of his movies that there's a lot of details stucked in all of his movies. Kubrick is an awesome director, for those who haven't seen any of his movies, you better see it now.

That wraps up our list. I will be back for another set of list for my top 5 summer favorites. I will also be back on set for another reviews.
