Nov 17, 2012
For those nerds who just can't wait to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey this December 13, well you're just for another great treat since the first 9 minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness will be attached in IMAX 3D screenings. Following Christopher Nolan's footsteps is JJ Abrams, who is known to be very secretive in his films, is shooting most of the film in IMAX cameras.

And well if you're seeing The Hobbit in a non-IMAX format, you're in for a great treat as well since Paramount Pictures is unveiling its first official trailer for the same film in front of the movie.

IMAX President Greg Foster adds that the footage is 'absolutely incredible'. However, the said prologue marks the first preview to be projected in 500 Digital IMAX 3D theaters.

So, are you excited for Star Trek Into Darkness and The Hobbit? Which format are you gonna see?

The Hobbit will be showing in 2D, 3D, 48HFR and IMAX 3D on December 13. While Star Trek Into Darkness will be showing in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on May 2013.
