NOTE: This is my list and not yours. I haven't got the chance to see all of the movies released this 2012, and please do not base my rating score (from my reviews) according to the order of the films below. That's all.
10. Ted
9. Skyfall
8. The Perks of Being A Wallflower
The Perks of Being A Wallflower is a very emotional movie and at the same time brings back high school memories. With Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller's great performances, no doubt this film was included in my list.
7. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
An Unexpected Journey is a great film to cap off a great year. This film is a delight for any Tolkien and Lord Of The Rings lover.
6. 21 Jump Street
21 Jump Street is just a feel-good movie for everyone (obviously, children not included). Channing Tatum surprises me with his hilarious comedic acting chops and there's nothing to love but to see that Johnny Depp and Richard Grecko cameos at the end.
5. The Cabin in the Woods
Move over the "Scream" franchise, Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon's The Cabin in the Woods is a great homage to both classic and modern horror films. For any horror/ thriller movie junkies, this film will leave a big smile on your faces.
4. The Avengers
The Avengers is a spectacular, 2 1/2 hours of pure pop-corn entertainment. Leave it to Master Whedon for making one of the best comic book movie ever.
3. Looper
Do I barely need why I love this movie? Looper is all what you need for a good action/ sci-fi movie. And by the way, Joseph Gordon-Levitt pulls out the best Bruce Willis impersonation I've ever seen.
2. The Dark Knight Rises
Truly an epic conclusion to one of the best trilogies ever made. Christopher Nolan really knows how to make a goddamn ending to a movie.
1. Argo
Yes. My all-time favorite movie of 2012 is Argo. Ben Affleck proves that he's not only a great actor, but one of the best directors living around. The film is no other than but a 2 hour of sweating palms, nerve-wrecking, brilliant blast of filmmaking. Thank you Mr. Affleck for this movie.
Well. That's about it ladies and gentleman. I'll be back for my Top 10 Worst Films of 2012 and maybe another bunch of reviews of classics to end this year. Season's Greetings and have a nice day. Thanks!
You lost all credibility when you stated ' Ben Affleck proves that he's not only a great actor'
ReplyDeleteHe's as wooden as a forest and from the same acting school as Kristen Steward.
Film geek guy. Please work on your grammar.
