Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher to Return For Star Wars: Episode VII

Mar 9, 2013
It's official! Star Wars veterans Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher will be back to reprise their roles of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia respectively in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII. Nor Lucasfilms and Disney confirmed the casting announcement, but it's no other other than George Lucas who announced it.

Here's what George Lucas had to say during an interview at Bloomberg:
"We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison...Or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation...So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on.'...Maybe I'm not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them...I won't say whether the negotiations were successful or not."
The highly anticipated JJ Abrams flick will set to play on a 2015 release date, to be produced by Walt Disney Pictures.
