WATCH: Trailer For 'Star Trek Beyond'

Our first look at the upcoming 'Star Trek Beyond' is here... and I honestly don't know what to feel about it.

Tone-wise, it looks like director Justin Lin is putting a Guardians of the Galaxy-vibe in the franchise dissing off the semi-serious take JJ Abrams established on the last two Star Trek films.

The choice of putting a Bestie Boys song just felt very odd, and doesn't feel Trekkie at all. Even Idris Elba is wasted here, not feeling menacing in his brief presence here.
