The first trailer for Nate Parker's critically-raved 'The Birth Of A Nation' has finally arrived.

Winner of Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award in this year's Sundance Film Festival, the film got a record-breaking deal after Fox Searchlight bought the worldwide release rights of the film for $17.5-M.

Set against the antebellum South, THE BIRTH OF A NATION follows Nat Turner (Nate Parker), a literate slave and preacher, whose financially strained owner, Samuel Turner (Armie Hammer), accepts an offer to use Nat’s preaching to subdue unruly slaves. As he witnesses countless atrocities - against himself and his fellow slaves - Nat orchestrates an uprising in the hopes of leading his people to freedom.

The film stars Parker (who also directed the film), Armie Hammer, Jackie Earle Haley, Aja Naomi King, Penelope Ann Miller, and Gabrielle Union and opens in US cinemas this October 7.
